Awards
 



Awards will be given according to the number of times people have participated in the annual rowing race:
All people who have participated 1-2 times will be presented with a Race Expert Award and bronze medal

All people who have participated 3-5 times will be presented with a Race Special Expert Award and silver medal

All people who have participated 6-9 times will be presented with a Race Master Award and gold medal

All people who have participated 10-14 times will be presented with a Race Special Master Award and gold medal

All people who have participated 15 times or more will be presented with a Race Ace Award with oak leaf-decoration and a gold medal

All people who have participated 20 times will be presented with a special medal in bronze with their name engraved upon it. They will also receive a regular annual medal

All people who have participated 25 times will receive a pennant from the Sulkava-seura ry (Sulkava Association)

All people who participated 30 times will be presented with a Race Special Ace Award plus a special silver medal engraved with their name upon it

N.B. When registering for the event, you should confirm how many times you have participated in the Sulkava Rowing Race in previous years.


Medals, awards and prize draws
All people completing a race in accordance with the rules of the competition will be given a personal award and medal. In addition, they may receive a lottery ticket offering the chance to win some interesting prizes.

Time-based prizes

Finnish Championship (FC) prizes
In Sunday’s FC race categories, the three best teams in each category will be awarded with official prizes.

Sulkava Rowing Race prizes
Sunday’s long boat men’s race category features cash prizes. In addition, the winning team may register for the 2009 Sulkava Rowing Race at no charge.

The women’s long boat race category features cash prizes. In addition, the winning team may register for the 2009 Sulkava Rowing Race at no charge.

The long boat race category for young people under 20 features cash prizes.

The presentation of cash prizes in the above mentioned race categories requires at least six teams take part in each race category.

Sunday’s small boat race categories feature prizes in the form of gifts. Winning teams can also register for the 2009 Sulkava Rowing Race at no charge. Free registration for next year’s race requires that at least six teams have joined in each race category.

All other competitive race categories on Sunday will also feature prizes based on time positions.

Sulkava Rowing Race time-based position awards total around €35.000.


Award ceremony for time position prizes
In all competitive races, both on Saturday and Sunday, time-based position awards will be presented.

In the long boat races, prizes will be awarded to the six best teams in the open race category and to the three best teams in the women’s and youth race categories. Additionally, in Friday’s and Saturday’s night-time races plus Saturday’s daytime race the best women’s team will be given a special award.
