Registration

Registration will be officially accepted once the registration fee for the whole team is paid and details of the rowers have been sent to us. Please pay the fee first and then send us your registration information (including details of all rowers on the team). This has to be done by 13.06.2008.

Payment Instructions

Registration fees are to be paid to Sulkavan Soudut at the accounts below:

In addition to your payment, remember to put either your rower’s names or the name of your team. N.B. The maximum space for the team name is 28 letters.

Please send one copy of your payment receipt to the Rowing Office. If paid via bank automat or the Internet remember to put your rower’s names or the team name as a message with the payment. Please also remember to put the date of payment on your registration form.

In addition, by 13.06.2008, long boat teams must send a list of rowers in writing to the Rowing Office. This list should contain 1) the name of the team, 2) the name, address and phone number of a contact person, and 3) team member details (including name, birthday, number of times joined Sulkava Rowing Race and address). N.B. If the team hasn’t sent the team member list by this deadline, team members will not be included in the participant list and the team will not receive starting positions based on their race times last year.

Registration fees

Registration fees are to be paid by teams, not individual rowers

Competitive series (all one-day races):

€40/person if paid by 31.05.2008, €50/person if paid 01.06.-13.06.2008 or €60/person if paid 14.06.-08.07.2008.
Youths under 20 years (10-k race) €13/person if paid by 13.06.2008 or €20/person if paid 14.06.-08.07.2008.

The registration fee for the competitive race categories include: organiser’s liability insurance, a list of participants, food, sauna, a medal, an award, results magazine and bus transportation from Sulkava village to the start area in Hakovirta (for night-time rowers from Hakovirta to Sulkava village).

Long-distance series (two-day races):

€55/person if paid by 31.05.2008, €62/person paid 01.06.-13.06.2008 or €70/person paid 14.06.-08.07.2008.
Long-distance race fees include organiser’s liability insurance, a list of participants, food at the over-night stay and finish areas, morning coffee and coffee mid-route both days, sauna both days, a medal, an award, results magazine and transportation of equipment to the over-night stay area from Sulkava village and back. The fee also includes tent space for two days in the long-distance rowers’ camping area in Varviranta (in an area owned by the Sulkava Association). Long-distance rowers have the right to a tent space in the camping area as follows:

Tuesday-Wednesday race participants: 7th (Mon) – 9th (Wed) of July, 2008
Thursday-Friday race participants: 9th (Wed) – 11th (Fri) of July, 2008
Saturday-Sunday race participants: 11th (Fri) – 13th (Sun) of July, 2008

Tent spaces cannot be reserved before arrival. People camping or mooring on private property should only do so with the landowner’s prior consent.

Confirming registration at the race area

Upon arrival, participants should register at the Race Office where payment details will be checked. At this time they will be given race related materials and race numbers. Race office opening hours are shown on the Timetables page.
